Ultrasound Examinations
All kinds of pediatric Ultrasound and Doppler examinations are performed by experienced and dedicated medical personnel. The ages of patients range between a few days up to 17- 18 years.
The examinations performed are included in the list below:
- Ultrasound of the abdomen
- Ultrasound of kidneys-ureters-bladder
- Ultrasound of esophagus and stomach for gastroesophageal reflux detection and hypertrophic pyloric stenosis
- Ultrasound of appendix for appendicitis
- Ultrasound of colon for screening of Hirschprung’s disease
- Ultrasound of pelvis (uterus, ovaries, vagina)
- Ultrasound of brain
- Ultrasound of cranial sutures for cranial synostosis
- Ultrasound of thyroid gland
- Ultrasound of the neck
- Ultrasound of the hips for screening of developmental dysplasia or congenital hip dislocation
- Ultrasound of painful hips and other joints (knees, elbows, ankle)
- Ultrasound of soft tissues
- Ultrasound of the spine for tethered cord or other congenital lesions
- Contrast-enhanced Voiding Urosonography (VUS) for vesicoureteral and urethral pathology detection in both boys and girls
- Color Doppler and Tripplex for vascular lesions (among others for renovascular hypertension)
